CTET September Educational Qualification 2026
CTET consists of two papers. Candidates should select the appropriate paper according to the level for which they want to qualify.
Paper I – Primary Stage (Class I to V)
Candidates applying for Paper I should fulfill the prescribed educational and teacher-training qualification requirements.
- Senior Secondary or equivalent with the required percentage and Diploma in Elementary Education or equivalent qualification.
- Senior Secondary with required marks and 4-Year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
- Senior Secondary with required marks and Diploma in Education / Special Education as prescribed.
- Graduation with Diploma in Elementary Education may also be considered as prescribed by the applicable CTET eligibility rules.
Paper II – Elementary Stage (Class VI to VIII)
Candidates applying for Paper II should fulfill the prescribed graduation and teacher-training qualification requirements.
- Bachelor Degree with the required percentage and 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Bachelor Degree with B.Ed. or equivalent teacher-training qualification.
- B.El.Ed., B.A.Ed. or B.Sc.Ed. qualification as prescribed.
- Other recognized qualifications may be accepted according to the CTET notification.
